Consultations

When you come into Floorology looking to get a design for a newly built home or an “in-progress” home, it is highly recommended to bring the following things with you:

• Existing house plans.

• Any swatches of already determined materials (cabinets, countertops, paint colors, etc…).

• Pictures of ideas you love.

If you are coming in for your appointment with a remodel project, we recommend bringing the following with you:

• Blueprints or a floor plan (if you have them). If not, no worries! Rough measurements of the area/areas you will be remodeling will work fine, too. (One of the Floorology team members will schedule a detailed measure as well)

• Pictures of the areas that are being remodeled.

• Any swatches of existing or already determined materials (cabinets, counter tops, paint colors, etc…)

• Pictures of ideas that you love and would like to see as part of your design
  
  

• If you have a specific style that flows throughout your house (traditional, rustic, modern, etc…) and would like to keep in the same style for your remodel, it might be helpful to take pictures of other rooms in your home for the consultation.

Here at Floorology, we aim to provide an enjoyable and professional experience. Whether it’s for a new build or remodeling project, when you come in for your consultation, you can trust that you will be getting great service. We also strive to respect your budget at the same time as giving you high quality products. We want to help you prioritize what is most important to you in your design and come up with practical and high-quality products to use.

An additional service we provide (for a fee) and recommend especially for bigger projects is the use of our 3D visualization software. This service will help you to visualize exactly what your project will look like before it’s done which will add confidence to your decision. This service is very helpful for both new build and remodeling projects. Feel free to ask about this service when you come in for your consultation or give us a call.

A great way for you to get ideas, put them together and collaborate with us, is by utilizing Houzz.com. You have the ability of creating an idea book right on Floorology’s Houzz page where both you and we can add photos and notes. The ideabooks can be edited anytime and anywhere. Get an opinion, but not too many opinions. Having a clear vision of what you would like to see in your home is important for you to make confident decisions. When you’re picking out anything to go in your home, remember that at the end of the day YOU are the one who will love it or be wishing you did something else. We tend to ask too many people what they think and then disregard what we actually want to achieve. Ask a spouse, a best friend, or a sibling but make sure you ask yourself, “What am I looking for?”
